JOB SCOPE: Summary of Responsibilities: This position performs duties related to the movement of inventory, materials, and heavy equipment. Responsible for driving trucks equipped with various configurations of dump bodies to transport and dump materials as needed. Loads and facilitates the movement of equipment using various tilt deck and lowboy trailers. The Take Charge Truck Driver: Maintain Equipment: Daily Inspections: Perform daily truck and equipment inspections. Preventative Maintenance: Clean equipment, check fluid levels, lubricate, maintain tire pressures, and change trailers. Secure Loads: Position blocks and tarps to secure loads during transit. Loading/Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading the truck. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Documentation: Load Tickets: Maintain load tickets for materials picked up and delivered daily. Time Sheets: Keep detailed time sheets of the movement of machines and attachments. Safe Operations: Safe Driving: Operate the truck safely to and from destinations. Traffic Laws: Obey all traffic laws. Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations and report any violations to the supervisor immediately. Incident Reporting: Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the supervisor's attention.
Education and/or Experience: Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in heavy equipment hauling/lowboy and dump trailers. License: Valid Class A CDL License and current medical certification required. Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record (MVR).
Physical Demands: Active Role: Regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. Reach and Balance: Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. Mobility: Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lifting: Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Vision: Specific vision abilities required include distance vision and depth perception.
Shifts/Hours: M-F and it includes Saturdays Shift typically start at 6: 30 AM till 5: 30 PM
Pay: $20.00 An Hour Up to $1100 w 50 hours/ week
