Job Scope/Duties:
The Crane Operator is responsible for operating a crane to lift, load, unload, position, and
reposition loads. The Operator controls crane functions by depressing buttons and foot pedals
as well as manipulating levers. The Operator will be required to load/unload pipe successfully
from barges, trucks, rails, and pipe coating facilities.
.Operate a Hydraulic crane such as a Link Belt 248, Manitiwoc 888 and 40-ton Cherry Pickers.
.Perform daily inspections of rigging, barge, and associated equipment for wear, tear, abrasions, damage, cleanliness, and overall condition of the equipment.
.Ensure load is within lifting capacity of the crane.
Ensure that all clients expectations are met.
Operate crane under general supervision.
Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist
movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis.
Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
Work with in precise limits and standards of accuracy.
Operate crane according to signals from Flagger.
Start and stop crane engine.
Follow directions carefully.
Conduct / Take part in Pre-Job Safety Meeting
Conduct JSA s prior to conducting and job
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Work experience required:
2 years experience hydraulic crane operations.
Hydraulic Crane Operator Certification-(API-RP-2D)
Must Have basic knowledge of crane machinery in order to service the main engine and crane machinery which will include but, but not limited to, changing oil filter, fueling, lubricate gears and bearings.
Requirements:
* Physical strength and stamina to work 12 hour shift. Also requires tolerance for the heat and
cold.
Must be able to demonstrate safe operation of equipment.
Ability to operator other pieces of equipment when there is no crane activity.

Shifts/Hours:
Monday - Saturday 6 am - 6 pm depending on the workload
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour with OT paid after 40 hours worked
Up to $3180 w 84 hours
