Job Environment:
Concrete Fabrication Plant/ Outside
Job Scope/Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the required dimensions and configurations of concrete forms.
- Perform various welding processes such as Flux-Cored and stick welding to join metal components for formwork, reinforcement, or structural elements.
- Cut on bandsaw, shear plate, angle and weld parts together
- Weld flat bar, channel, plate, angle, tube steel, sometimes rebar
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications regarding strength, size, and appearance.
- Fabricate metal components such as brackets, embedments, plates w/ studs, angle iron and I-beam posts, inserts, and reinforcement bars (rebar) using cutting, bending, and shaping techniques.
- Inspect fabricated components and finished products for defects, flaws, or deviations from specifications.
- Repair damaged or worn formwork by welding and reinforcing metal components to maintain structural integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Modify existing formwork as needed to accommodate design changes or project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Inspect welded joints and metal fabrications for defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion using visual inspection methods and non-destructive testing techniques.
Work history experience:
3 years experience as a welder
*Client would like for them to already be certified with the following weld tests:
Requirements:
SMAW 3F & 4F all positions & uphill also
FCAW 3F & 4F all positions & uphill also
GMAW 3f & 4F all positions & uphill also
(If not certified they would need to feel confident in being able to pass those tests.)
Shifts/Hours:
*Schedule is Mon - Fri, 7: 00 to 3: 30, with overtime available
*Temp to Perm position for the right candidate!
Pay:
* Pay starts at $25 - $32 an hour
****** $300.00 CASH BONUS per full month of perfect attendance
Up to $2000 w 55 hours
