SAVARD is hiring Manual Machinist for work near Harvey, LA for Job # 18859
Job Scope/Duties: To operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner by performing the following duties: Must have machining knowledge and skills in lathe, milling machines and welding work Read and interpret blueprints. Operate precision tools, machinery, and equipment. Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of machinery. - Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs and verbal and written instructions - Must be able to run Lathe and make parts from previous parts - Make sure parts are de burred and clean before going to inspection - Make duplicate rods and cylinder barrels. - Must know how to cut metric and standard threads with lathe. - Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries. -Building Boat Shafts, work in a Machine Shop
Work experience required: 3 to 5 Years of Manual Machining experience
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds - Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, push, pull, lift items off the ground, kneel down and climb.
Shifts/Hours: Monday thru Friday 7: 30 AM to 4: 30 PM
Pay: $25 an hour DOE Up to $1000 w 40 hours/ week
Benefits offered: Discussed after 90 day probationary period.
