Savard is hiring a Hydraulic/Diesel Mechanic for work in/near Broussard, LA for Job # 8496.
Job Scope/Duties As a mechanic, you will be responsible for supporting dredge crews by troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all dredge equipment. Field work is possible to go on jobs and serve as dredge Tech (on shore/off shore/out of state/out of country).
Work experience required: - 3 years of total Mechanic experience working with hydraulic equipment - 1 year experience working with diesel equipment - Experience with John Deere, CAT, and Cummins diesel engines preferred - Dredge / marine equipment experience highly preferred (or dredge tech experience) - Centrifugal Pump experience is highly preferred - Electrical background is highly preferred -Rigging Experience is a plus -Hydraulic/Diesel Training/Trade School Preferred -Offshore Experience Preferred
Other Requirements: -5 Panel Drug Screen required -Valid Driver's License required - TWIC will be required (TWIC Receipt Accepted) -Passport Preferred - MVR required
Shifts/Hours: Day shift;M-F 7am-5pm with occasional work on Saturdays 45-55 hours a week; -ability to perform some offsite callout work could allow for heavier overtime.
Pay: $18-$25 DOE Up to $1562 w 55 hours
