Job Scope/Description:
Set up, operate, or tend milling or planing machines to mill, plane, shape, groove, or profile metal or plastic work pieces.
The Manual Mill Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Manual Mill machines:
Read prints for required specifications and dimensions
Set up parts and make layouts according to print for specifications
Operate Manual Mill machines
Measure parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers)
Operate overhead cranes on daily basis to load machines with parts
Cut supports to lengths needed using a hot saw
Occasionally operate forklifts
Work experience required:
Must have 2 years of Manual Milling Experience on VTL machine-. (on 66" King & 54" Bullard machines preferred)
Other Requirements:
High school Diploma
QBG
Physical
Audiogram
Respirator Fit test
10 panel lab
work history EE or Savard
Valid ID
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, etc. Work environment may include high noise areas,
working at heights, confined spaces, congested work sites, shift work, duration rotations, shop setting, etc.

Days will Vary
10-12 hour shifts
50 hours max
Pay:
regular days-$22-$25
Up to $1375 w 50 hours/ week
