Job Description

Shipyard Combo Fitter/Welder $1,210 WEEKLY

Key Requirements:
  • Perform MIG, TIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding on carbon and stainless steel.
  • Pass a weld test using 7018, 6010, and 309 stick electrodes in all positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job specifications to determine fit-up requirements.
  • Grind, prep, and fit materials accurately according to project needs.
  • Align and secure structural components using clamps, tack welds, and fixtures.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a shipyard environment, including confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.


Shifts:
  • Monday - Friday 
  • 7 am to 5:30 pm 

Duration:
  • Temp to hire
