Job Scope / Duties: The welder will be responsive for fitting and welding parts using information from the productions drawing shop travelers and work instructions as required using MIG welder, fixtures and basic welding tools to meet print specifications.
Responsibilities: Responsible for making welds to meet print specifications. Responsible for producing strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous and consistent. Follow required procedures and uses appropriate fixtures to assist in the assembly process. Basic operation of robotic weld cell as assigned. Verify conformance of finished part to print specifications and quality standards. Responsible for properly using and maintaining tools, fixtures, and machines. Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly.
Requirements: Must have knowledge of welding processes and equipment. Must have 3 years of experience as a Industrial welder (manual and machine welding) Must be able able to weld vertical, flat and overhead with a good penetration and a quality weld. Must have ability to operate acetylene torches. Must have exceptional math skills including metric system and angles. Must be able to read tape measures and angle finders as well as reading blueprint drawings and AWS symbols. Must have the ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes. Must be able to weld in awkward positions such as kneeling or lying down. And be able to work from a ladder.
Other requirements: HS diploma or equivalent Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. In house Drug screen Extensive Background check Welding test work history EE or DWWF generated
Pay: $ 24.00 to $30.00 per DOE 50 hours max Up to $1650 w/50 hrs weekly
Shift: Day and Night shift available Monday thru Friday-weekend as needed Candidate must be able to work a full-time, 5-days per week 10-hours per shift
